This is a look Behind the Scene from my editorial shoot for Twenty6 Magazine , featuring the fabulous Actress Lyne Renée. A friend of mine 'Oriel Harwood' was giving us her house to use, and as you can see it's simply amazing. I shot this editorial with the Leica S system and used Broncolor lighting . Thanks to Alex Botic (REC EDIT Productions) for the Video http://youtu.be/Vy38Hrza1fE
Soboye African style Editorial
I got very exited when my friend Samson Soboye rang, and asked me if I was interested in shooting his collection in an editorial kind of style. He introduces many unknown to the Western-World patterns and colour combinations in his creations. I always wanted to capture the magic of it all, and it all makes sense when you read the write-up below.
The urban jungle is an oxymoron that we know all to well. Our curiosities have often filled us with notions of what this ideal may be. Some people may venture overseas to indulge in this tropical lifestyle. But the others, the wise few, will simply go to SOBOYE.
With both the freedom and the rebellion of decades past, and the unapologetic brashness of urban culture, the East London based brand brings a Flare of modern Africa to contemporary England. The bold colours dress both men and woman to an effortless cool. As a man with a sharp eye for the intricate details, Samson Soboye’s unique collection, in a collaboration with woman-wear designer Caroline Chi Chi Chinakwe, is refreshingly resistant to any common style classification.
Who says that the loud and wonderful are reserved only to for the summer? Colour and structure are the foundation of fashion, bringing impeccably timeless pieces from all over the globe. If your wardrobe is suffering from a mid-season crisis, the pieces from Soboye will bring back that year-round thrill.
As dazzling prints are paired with the elegant pieces in traditionally tailored British cuts, this Afro-punk line combines the edginess of urban life with the vibrancy of the continent. With this collection, Soboye takes our understanding of ‘the concrete jungle’ to a whole new level, and we love it.
Loreal Italy Project
Darren Fowler, owner of Clipso London, recently headed to Italy to present a masterclass in London Style to 40 salon owners.
With London renowned not just as the fashion capital of the world but also a centre of hair excellence, the eyes of the world are always on the Brits. As a regular backstage at London Fashion Week, Darren was the ideal candidate to give Italian delegates a whistlestop tour through London tribes and the city’s renowned street style looks.
Stylist Lee Lapthorne, make-up artist Nora Nona and photographer Armin Weisheit were also on hand to help bring five looks to life at the event, which was organised by L’Oreal Professionnel Italy.
The tribes the trio presented were based on iconic London areas, with looks to match. The South East London tribe featured low-key middle partings and skinny braids while the West End tribe was all about put-together, high-end finishes. Shoreditch’s tribe saw the ever-prevalent top-knot coated with gel, Camden oozed grungy texture and Dalston focused on pastel colour and fringes.
“This was a really exciting opportunity for us as a brand and for the guests who attended,” said Darren. “I pulled together a great team of creative experts to ensure that the Italian guests experienced a truly creative weekend. There were lots of demonstrations and hands on activities to get the stylists really behind the seminar. The feedback was extremely positive and we’re looking forward to progressing this forward for future international guests.”

Bruno Triplet fabric and textile designer - Photoshoot
Sahco, the renowned textile merchant, has acquired the exclusive rights for a worldwide distribution of the Bruno Triplet textile collection. In the future, the founder and designer of the homonymous collection, will work exclusively for Sahco developing fabrics with its own brand. Bruno Triplet was born at Versailles in France, but has spent most of his life in big cities, such as Paris, London and New York, and currently resides in Zurich. His multicultural background is the basis of his inspirations and his taste. After working for several years in high fashion companies such as Saint Laurent and Comme des Garçons, building on experience and the refinement of his creative abilities, in 1994 he created his own eponymous brand. Sahco has now acquired the exclusive world wide distribution rights of its textile collections. His collection, which is based on elegance and modernity, is a successful mix of traditional techniques and a refined contemporary style. His special fondness for fine silk, woven by hand, a noble material that perfectly expresses his extraordinary sense for colours, has become his signature. Delicate shades of colour, or bold shades are all expressed in the best of this rich and exclusive fabric. In fact they are probably just the colours that make the collection so unique.
